°Kampong Speu province [capital = Krong Chbar Mon]

°Former M-13 prison in °Thma Kup at ° Kbal Tuek
° The security office, M-13, functioned from July 1971 to April 1975 and is largely seen as origination of the Khmer Rouge atrocity. M-13, located in Kampong Speu Province – Western zone, was one of the killing machines and top security centre for the early Khmer Rouge regime during the Cambodian Civil War.

°Kampong Thom province [capital = Kampong Thom]

°Temple Zone of Sambor Prei Kuk in °Prasat on ° route 219
° The property comprises more than a hundred temples, ten of which are octagonal, unique specimens of their genre in South-East Asia. Decorated sandstone elements in the site are characteristic of the pre-Angkor decorative idiom, known as the Sambor Prei Kuk Style. Some of these elements, including lintels, pediments and colonnades, are true masterpieces.

°Kandal province [capital = Ta Khmao]

°Choeung Ek Genocidal Center in °Phnom Penh
° Between 1975 and 1979, it served as a mass execution site where thousands of individuals were killed and buried in mass graves. Today, the center features a Buddhist stupa containing over 8,000 human skulls, serving as a somber reminder of the atrocities committed.
