°Peryn Monastery at °Peryn skete
° The monastery was probably founded in Peryn soon after the pagan shrine was destroyed, when a wooden church was reportedly erected there.

°The St. George's (Yuriev) Monastery at °Yur'yevskoye Shosse, 10
° The St. George's (Yuriev) Monastery is usually cited as Russia's oldest monastery. It stands in 5 kilometers south of Novgorod on the left bank of the Volkhov River near where it flows out of Lake Ilmen. The monastery used to be the most important in the medieval Novgorod Republic.

°Zverin Monastery (Pokrovskiy Sobor) at °Bredova-Zverinaya Ulitsa, 18
° This is one of the oldest Russian monasteries, founded not later than the 12th century.

° It is a large oval 545 metres long and 240 metres wide with nine surviving towers.
