Fort Grossfuerst Konstantin at Am Fort Konstantin
From the 1990s onwards, all parts of the fortress were extensively renovated, so that today the terraced complex is successfully used as a venue for concerts, theatre and festivals.
Emperor Franz Fortress at Feste Franz 6
The fortification system, which was modern at the time, gradually lost its importance after 1850 and was completely abandoned in 1890. In 1920/21, Feste Kaiser Franz was defortified in accordance with the provisions of the Treaty of Versailles.
Old Castle at Burgstrasse 1
The Old Castle (German: Alte Burg) is a former electoral water castle in the German city of Koblenz, dating to the 13th century. The lowland castle is located in Koblenz's old town on the banks of the Moselle near the Baldwin Bridge. Only the Burghaus ("castle house") has survived; today it houses the city archives.
Electoral Palace on Schlossstrasse
Kurfürstliche Schloss Koblenz is one of the most important palace buildings of early French classicism in southwest Germany and is one of the last residential palaces built in Germany immediately before the French Revolution.
Fort Asterstein at Kolonnenweg 11
The military fortress was built from the 1820s to the 1920s. It was part of the fortress systems in Koblenz. The remains are now a memorial and kept in the ruin shape.
Philippsburg Castle at Hofstrasse 257
Philippsburg Castle was built on portions of the mediaeval city wall of Braubach and is classified as the earliest Renaissance castle on the Middle Rhine.
Ehrenbreitstein Fortress on Felsenweg
Fortress Koblenz was said to have been the largest military fortress in Europe except for Gibraltar. Ehrenbreitstein could be defended by up to 1200 soldiers.
