Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum at Wengzhong Road
Xiaoling Mausoleum is renowned for its unique design, its eminent status, its amazing beauty and its magnificent scale. It's the milestone in the historical development of Chinese mausoleums.
Tomb of Chang Yuchun at Zhuhai Lake, Xuanwu
The tomb dates from 1369, and is located on Purple Mountain in Nanjing. There are stone horses, stone tigers, stone sheep and stone warriors in front of the tomb.
Tomb of Li Wenzhong at 6 Jiang Wangmiao Street
The Sacred Way first has a pair of columns followed by one horse with its handler. The western horse has not been put in its proper place across from its twin figure but is left discarded on the side in an unfinished state. After the horse follow pairs of sheep, tigers, civil officials and military officers. Off to the right of the Sacred Way is an old water well.
Tomb of Wu Zhen at Zhongshan Scenic Area
The center path, barely a meter wide, runs for about 80 meters, lined on both sides with traditional stone figures the last 30-40 meters. From south to north the four figures on each side are horse with attendant, ram, tiger and warrior.
Tomb of Qiu Cheng at Zhongshan Scenic Area
The mausoleum comprises of three sections: A small platform followed by an access path, an area with statues placed symmetrically on both sides of the center path and a tomb wall on an elevated platform. There is no discernable tomb mound.
Tomb of Xu Da at Zhongshan Scenic Area
Behind the stele runs the about 220 meter long Sacred Avenue. It is lined with some of the traditional stone figures often found in Ming mausoleums.
Tomb of Wu Liang at Zhongshan Scenic Area
After a small left turn bend you will pass two horses, two rams, two tigers and two generals. Apart from the turtle, the pairs are lined up on each side of a narrow "Sacred Way" leading up to the burial place.
