Gremyachaya Tower at Gremyachaya Ulitsa, 8
Gremyachaya or Gremjatšaja Tower was a defensive keep built by Vasili III of Russia in 1525. The six-storey tower is 20m high and 15m wide.
Church of the Epiphany at Ulitsa Gertsena, 7
This attractive, working church overlooking the Pskova River was built in 1494 and includes a separately standing five-column belfry – its open gables and large pillars are distinctive of the Pskovian style. Around the church is a lovely stretch of park.

The cathedral is built in traditional Moscow Orthodox style. It has five bright golden domes, but the overall image is pretty modest and plain: white walls and unshowy decorations, with the main focus made on the belltower.

The first mention of the Church of the Intercession and Nativity of the Virgin from Prolom dates back to 1399. At one time, the church was the cathedral church of the Pokrovsky Monastery.

Saint George Church at Georgiyevskaya Ulitsa, 1
St. George Church, one of the few remaining monuments from the 15th century, is a pleasant and peaceful church like many churches in Pskov. It has a small bell and a single dome, with small windows, all within a wonderful white building. It is one of the landmarks that possess the distinctive and special characteristics of the city, and whose architecture cannot be confused with any other city.
Pogankin's House at Ulitsa Nekrasova, 7
One of the oldest Russian museums (7 Nekrasova str.) - the museum is part of the estate of Sergey POgankin's estate ( built 1671-1679), the biggest stone building of the 17th c Pskov. In 1710, during pestilence times, the last Pogankin died and the building was given first to military stores, and then, in 1900, to the History Society of Pskov.In 1902, a museum of arts, history and archaeology was opened here.
Church of St. Nicholas at Sovetskaya Ulitsa, 19
There was a swamp on this spot. It was drained, and in 1371 Church St. Nicholas "On the Usokha" (on a drained spot) was built there.
St. Basil on the Hill at Oktyabr'skiy Prospekt, 5
In 1413 a stone church was built on the site of a wooden church. The end of the 15th century and the 16th century are the heyday, when the chapels and the gallery were attached to the temple. At the beginning of the XVI century the honored temple Tikhvin icon of the Mother of God was painted.

Pskov outskirts

Snetogorskiy Monastry at Ulitsa Snyatnaya Gora, 1
The Snetogorsky monastery was founded by the hegumen Ioasaph in the 13 century. He and the other monks were killed during the storm of the monastery by the Livonian Knights on March 4, 1299. A little later on they were defeated by the Pskov prince Dovmont. After that the prince told to build a new stone Church of the Nativity of Our Lady at the monastery, on the place of the burnt wooden church. The new church was finished under the hegumen Job in 1311. By 1313 the paintings of the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady was completed and it became the main sacred place of the monastery. For centuries it remained one of the wealthiest and most influential monasteries in the Pskov lands.
