In 2009 we promoted the studios through our internet site and the common booking agents on internet. Although
we close the hotel for 4 months July through October, we generate an average occupancy
rate of 50% and a gross sales of 25,000 US$ each year, substanciated by the attached
tourist tax records 2016 in Belize dollars (1US$=2BZ$). With the new
international airport coming online next year, Placencia's tourist season will be extended
well into the summer with European tourists, which is going to increase occupancy rates
substancially.We cannot provide profit and loss statements because labour is provided by ourselves and utility meters are common with the penthouse.
If vacational rental is not looked for, the studios can be rented long term for 450US$ per month utilities excluded, since Placencia is lacking long term accommodation.
